Degree Show Preparation
Being involved in the degree show is important not just for those exhibiting but for first and second-year students.
"Helping the final year with their show is a very valuable way for you to get to know people within your discipline who are not necessarily in your year.
It is a fantastic way to 'establish' yourself within the department of your chosen discipline. It's a great experience to help the third years with their degree show because you are able to get some kind of idea of quite how much dedication, patience, blood, sweat and toil goes into creating an aesthetically pleasing and visually stimulating exhibition.
The degree show preparation has taught me that you need to start thinking about your own exhibition very early on in the academic year and that the third year is a journey towards that end.
I have also learned that with suitable amounts of preparation, planning and effort is is possible to create a very professional-looking exhibition".
